Hi! I’m Beatriz.

I’m a writer and community organizer based in Brooklyn. I contribute essays to sites like HelloGiggles, The Tempest, and Fembot Mag. I’m also the co-founder and organizer of Bed Stuy Book Club, a literary community for Women and Femmes of Color in Brooklyn.

To create engaging and relatable work, I use a unique combination of:

  • quick-witted millennial femme humor
  • deep and detailed archives of pop culture references
  • first-person narratives that are equal parts vulnerable and visceral, and
  • community-centered education on social justice and intersectional feminism.

Commonly referred to as the Gay Brown Carrie Bradshaw the world needs, I write about:
  • beauty & fashion
  • cannabis
  • sex & relationships
  • intersectional feminism
  • food
